Ne Colorado
It’s kind of a combination of things. But the main reason is we don’t have local stores that sell it so the average guy can’t go buy a lamb steak just to try. We sell 1/4-1/2 or whole but i can’t really sell individually packages. So who would buy 50 pounds of something they’ve never tried before on a whim!?

But it’s also an old rooted respect thing to. The range wars were really bloody here back in the day. Unfortunately the sheep guys lost out. We lost relatives, as did many others. Since the old days Folks just have it bred into them that sheep are nasty tasting and “hurt the grass”. I’d invite anyone here to prove that wrong.
