Depends how you are going to use it. Might be ok for dry hay....We wanted a high moisture tester for for silage and silage bales. Bought a couple off the internet....pretty much junk. Finally bought a JD one for bale silage. Works well. Think it was $370 ish. Been a lot cheaper if I hadn't spent money on internet hype and units that didn't work.
Off brand hay moisture tester any good.
