95 miles NW of Quitaque, TX | My little brother in 1977-8 had enough speakers in his pickup that we could listen to 8 track tapes all around the house, garage and barns. On Friday or Saturday as he was going to town he would blast that 8 track player full blast and try to make it 22 miles to town before turning down the player. He did not always make it he told me one time.
I am lucky with my hearing. Yes I have lost a little. The culprit was a 1972 4020JD that dad replaced the muffler with a straight piece of pipe. We were pulling that tractor full bore with duals and 12-14 JD weights. I did have ear muffs on but.... |
