That works, but is a pain by yourself since you have to get off loader and cut it back.  We did that for years with round bales until we swtiched to using a spear with 2 - 49" long spears; now we spear the bale low, cut the net at 4 or 7 oclock posistion and pull the net off the bale lifting as needed to get the net out from under what falls when cut, then lowering to flip over the top of the bale.  Have not flipped a bale on end to remove wrap in a while now.
