Just worked on my 8300 this weekend doing the same thing. As "RecreationalTillage" pointed out, there are 2 o-rings that go on that coupler. There are no seals between the coupler and the midshaft. I did replace the seals around the shaft that the coupler slides onto. That is RE151144 and T121280. Replaced those seals on both ends, transmission side and pto side.
