Malta, Illinois | I was always taught that when inside you remove your hat. There are certain occasions when outdoors where men should remove their hats. When the national anthem is played, a burial, and when a prayer is offered. I have kind of gotten over being outraged by what people wear to church anymore. I will say this though. There is a young man who was raised in our church and raised pretty well I believe. He only attends on Christmas Eve now and when he does he wears something that I would describe as a floppy fishing hat. It is so out of place that I believe he does it just daring someone to say something to him. It ticks me off but God loves him just the same as he does me. I don't care about people wearing jeans either. I think there was probably a time when guys wore bib overalls to certain churches. As long as they are clean who cares? | |
