Just buy fuel as you need it. In your total cost of production, how many gallons per acre do you use? Springtime use is much less than fall for me. While not having a low price locked in is not what you want, this could likely settle down in less than a year.

Spring fertilizer needs is a bigger problem. I thought that I had all my fertilizer needs booked , but a crop rotation change has affected my total nitrogen needs. I can wait until June side dress time to deal with that, so I guess I’ll gamble until then.
