| You can use a horse to keep cow off person marking or tagging calf if needed. Same as when police forces use a mounted officer to control crowds. I personally wouldn't step off a 4 wheeler alone and tag a calf on a older cow like this. We do tag calfs off 4 wheeler or side x side only on heifers. As they are still trying to figure things out. But as cows get older, they get more aggressive. But we don't turn our heads on heifers, as they still can nail you.
