North Dakota | What did John the Baptist wear? He wore a coarse camel hair garment with a leather belt. It was in stark contrast to the luxurious garments the Sadducee's and Pharisees wore. It represented spiritual rather than material pursuits. So I personally couldn’t care less what outer material clothing one wears, I am interested in what is on the inside. Maybe I am off base but I would think Jesus would hold the same mentality. Sure, removing a hat in whatever flavor could be considered a sign of respect but it surely isn’t something I would degrade someone for. Let those without sin cast the first stone.
