To do it properly your narrowest pass is the base, everything else runs off of that. Sometimes that means a partial width pass to start the field in the case of the planter and sprayer. Most of today’s class 7 and up combines have enough auger to reach the grain cart running on 30 foot centers. Keeping everything on the paths is all about discipline which is sometimes hard to convey to the help.
