Central NY | As a kid that would have been a huge deal (mainly to the older crowd) if someone wore a hat in church. today we have some great attendees that wear a ball cap and wear gym shorts and t shirt during the service. Good God fearing people, no one says a word to them about their hat. Just glad they come and live faithfully during the week. I see both sides of it for church. But I would rather have someone come be a part of the body of Christ and fellowship, than not come because we are hung up on a dress code. I try to dress formal in regards to my normal attire, but that means a special pair of boots, jeans and button up only worn on Sundays for me. | |
