NW Iowa | I am considering a UTV with HVAC. I currently have an RTV900 that has had no problems in the almost 15 years that I've had it. As a workhorse, I don't think anything else comes close. A Kubota with a cab would be an easy choice to replace it. I also have a RZR900 that I use to check fields and for fun rides but really don't use as much as I thought we might. Iowa has a 35 MPH limit for utvs. Would I be disappointed with something like a Gator 835? I'm pretty sure a Gator, Ranger or Commander could accomplish the same tasks but the hydrostat and hyd dump bed are hard to beat. It's only a few days per year, but the hardest job my RTV has is rock picking. The box can be mounded full and it still drives (in low) and dumps without complaint. Do the electric dump beds really handle big loads ok? The local JD dealer has a nice used 835 that got me thinking about all this. If a Gator or something similar could do the work of the Kubota, it could also mostly replace the RZR for what I use it for and I'd have 1 less machine. Any thoughts? TIA | |
