| Saw I have I believe is a MS271 Stihl if my numbers are right is the same as a 291, just smaller bore. Starts abit hard the first time when it is cold out 5-6 pulls minimum, takes a bit to warm up, but after that it is good. Probably at least 10 years old only parts or problems have been one sprocket and bars and chains plus one Aluminum safty deal below the chain which I would say is on me not the saw. Not extensive use, but cut 15 or so cords firewood a year, rip a few hard to split pieces and have cut logs to saw maybe almost 10,000 board feet. I buy the gas without ethonal and use the synthetic oil, never concern myself with how much gas is left it or how old it is in the can, mix 2 gallonos at a time.
