Mid-Michigan | I've been a Jonsered/Husqvarna guy for a long time. When husky bought jonsered out they turned those saws into the home owner version. Always liked stihl but the dealer was kind of an ass. Recently though I bought a 500i stihl and its a tremendous saw. Very impressed with it. A lot more saw than your friends are looking for but I like stihl. Have had good luck with their weed whips and hedge trimmers also. Don't think you can go wrong with a stihl. My Husqvarna 395 XPG has been a great saw but it weighs 18 pounds so it sits a lot. The 500i is fuel injected, light and fast. Really expensive though.
