Are you saying that in your experience controlled traffic is bad or just controlled traffic with the cart is bad?

Maybe this is something that I should not be pursing at all?

If it is something worth pursing, I just realized that I could simply run the planter tractor down the combine/strip till path as well. I'm not sure how comfortable I am with that though. I usually strip till with two side by side passes headed in the same direction to make it so I have done everything I can to keep guess rows out of the equation as the wider planter tries to stay on the rows of the narrower strip till rig. Seems like no matter how careful you are on the implement offset it's never absolutely perfect between two strip till passes that are going in opposite directions.
