NWC Ohio | Let’s see if I understand what you’re trying to do. You want to build an 8 row sidedress rig on 60” centers and rip how deep? You say deep rip to fix compaction, to me that’s 12+” deep. So probably using a low disturbance deep ripper point and shank, like a BlueJet Subtiller II shank?
You want to apply NH3 behind this shank, at the same time, how deep and how much N you intending to inject? Example Shank running 12” inject N at 6” deep?
If you’re only looking to pull a mole knife 6-8” deep and inject N with it, just buy a used BlueJet Land Runner bar and use its spring shank setup and a mole knife. Can be bought cheap compared to the fancy rigs guys are pulling today. If you buy a pull type, it can be pretty easily converted to 3pt hitch I’m pretty sure. | |
