Subject: RE: Buying A New Chainsaw Question

NE ND
I have a Stihl MS 362. There are so many days I’d like to place it in front of one of my 4WDs and just drive it over about 25 times for stress relief. I run non ethanol gas and stihl oil and about every year it needs a new carb off amazon if you want it to start. I don’t give anything to the local service garbage either. It was about 18 months old and wouldn’t start. I take into local service shop. They call, the piston is scored, you need a new saw. Diagnosis is $150. Uh, ok. It came back to me in pieces. Sat in corner of shop for a year. One day hired man and I start looking at it and couldn’t find any piston scoring at all. He finds a glob of green crap in the end of a fuel line and flicks it off with his pocket knife. Put it back together and it fired right up and ran good. I find the saw is fine if you use it everyday but if it sits for two months good luck. I’ll try an Echo next.
