Central Western VA Mountains | I’ve got a few Stihl, Husqvarna and Echo chainsaws. They have all been good. We’ve had Stihl by far the longest and I’d say if you pinned me down to only go out and buy one brand chainsaw, I’d probably buy Stihl.
However…
Couple of friends of mine were looking for a new chainsaw recently, 50-60cc in size. I showed them some of my collection/experiences so they might have options other than Stihl if they wanted. Both ruled out any other brand than Stihl - which kind of surprised me.
Question: If you were going out tomorrow and buy a chainsaw, which brand chainsaw would you buy - Stihl, Husqvarna or Echo?
I kind of think Stihl, Husqvarna and Echo are all good chainsaws, but around here it seems Husqvarna has developed a lesser reputation by putting their saws in the box stores. Husqvarna dealers are few and far between. Seems folks around here like Echo and accept they are sold in box stores, again with dealers few and far between. Echo seems to have a reputation of a good chainsaw, but less money and therefore purchased. Stihl dealers are everywhere.
Soooo - again, if you were going out to buy a new chainsaw tomorrow, what is your go to brand chainsaw?
Just curious - Thanks! |
