Eastern Shore of MD | Not quite the question but did some math the other day comparing liquid 8-0-0-9S to 21-0-0-24S dry to decide what was more economical.
For perspective this was before the spike in price last week.
26 gal 8-0-0-9S @ 10#/Gal = 260 # = 21-0-0-24S plant food @ $155/ ton = $17.05/ac
100# 21-0-0-24S = 21-0-0-24S plant food @ $494/ ton = $24.70/ac
So liquid is much better and then you add in I can spray the 8-0-0-9S with no extra trip but the dry would be an extra trip so also would have to add an additional application fee for the dry plus some corn will get run over if we go at V-3,4.
So liquid is a no brainer here....it has been that way for the last couple years. Prior to that dry was usually a better deal.
edit for math
