Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49 | Had some calves in the Greenville feeder calf auction ,I had a good day. I had some 635# bring 4.85. But I saw some 485# bring 585. This sale was for fully vaccinated calves only.
In regards to the thread below saying the price of some bred heifers wouldn't pay off very quickly. Will at around 3000.00 a head for feeders not having much feed in them might pay for sooner than you would think.
I talked to a guy 2 days ago that raises breeding stock. He said they have a guy buying everything at 8 months old and paying top dollar. So they will have no heifers or bulls for sale this year. |
