Subject: RE: upright feed bin poly vs steel

Have a 15-20 year old poly bin thats been outside that’s in great shape yet. Have put DDG’s or corn/pellet mix in it. If it’s super hot and humid the DDG’s don’t come out the best. Other than that I love it. All the bulk bins we replace or put new at our sow units the past 3 years are poly. So far no complaints. Main reasons for putting poly ones there is so employees can see the feed level and the upfront cost of the poly compared to steel.
