Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | The black wire goes to Valve #1, the Brown to Valve #2 and the Blue to Valve #3. Each of the solenoids needs to be hooked to the common white wire (ground).
If you have it wired this way and the valves do not open there are several possibilities. Solenoid valves take a fair amount of power and your power source should be a very good connection - hopefully direct to the battery.
If trying the valves one at a time, seems to get that one to work but not all of them at once, it is almost certainly a power problem. Certain older tractors used two 6 volt batteries in series to get 12 V. If you hooked across just one you only have 6 volts. If this is the case, you will certainly have problems.
Have you tried running the valves directly off of a battery? Many solenoid valves will corrode and become inoperable after a few years.
Because of all the problems with solenoid valves, most of our new sprayers are sold with ball valves which do not have these problems.
