Alberta | We just have a small 4 pen barn and don't even really need the heat if there are 2 or 3 cows in there, but we use a 1500 watt electric infrared to more or less dry out the humidity, The humidity is worse than the cold. As long as a calf is out of the wind, They can survive without many frozen ears at -15C. If I had a big barn I would put in exhaust fans on humidistats to get rid of the moisture. | |
