Steel bin hands down, no comparison. Sunlight will eat away at a poly bin overtime and make it brittle and crack. Not sure how long you plan on keeping the bin, but the a good used schuld bin is practically the same price as a new schuld bin. Poly bins do not hold a good resale value in my opinion.
I went from steel to poly and wouldn’t go back. My steel bins sweated and feed would stick to the sides poly gets a full clean out every time without poking it down and as the other poster stated I can look and see how much I have every time I pull in the driveway. As far as resale I’m not sure where that factors in. I’ve never put in a feed bin with any intention of selling it. |
