Subject: RE: Becks soybeans

West Central Indiana
Split the planter while doing custom planting for a good friend of mine. Had the Becks 3661 up against Dairyland 3.5 enlist. I wasn’t available to weigh them out with a weigh wagon. But he said there was no need. The enlist bean was definitely yielding better. I guess all the glitter on the Becks beans treatment didn’t help much. The Dairyland bean was untreated new bean at the time.

I also can’t recall that variety ever placing in any first trials. Could be a kick out from another company that Becks picked up. My guess is it’s a variety that needs to be on really good soils, that can’t handle much stress.
