Ok i get it now. I was thinking with the way you were talking was that you needed to convert to lbs/acre but i was struggling to wrap my head around it. One thing to note in your calculations is you didnt weight the 12-24" sample heavy enough. You can take the average of the other 4 numbers first, since theyre all the same representative depth. That gets you the average of 0-12", then take the average of that number and the 10 ppm for the 12-24" to get the average ppm for the entire core. Then you can do your multiplying by 8. Youd be correct if the entire 0-24" sample was mixed and measured.
