Anderson County Kansas | If they knew where price was going they wouldn’t be working. Nobody knows where the price is going. I had 2 buyers call me today. My guess is they are trying to secure bushels before raising basis. I see that quite often. I get a call the next day basis has improved. Edit to add. I just got a text with one of the buyers bids. They did improve their basis by a nickel. With the bridge payments hitting accounts farmers may be more inclined to hold a little tighter. Also the people that have held through this rally and still have grain obviously aren’t in a hurry.
