Sorry, apologies, I responded too quickly. It should be multiplied by 8 not 4. Here is why, to convert ppm to lbs per acre on a 6" soil sample you multiple by 2. This is because a 6" sample is representative of 2 million lbs of soil per acre. So a 0-24" is 4x that amount. So The average ppm of this 0-24" sample multipled by 8 = 390lbs of ortho P205 in the top 24" of this field.
