Iowa | I’m not sure that data centers and ai are a “circle jerk”. Younger people use it all the time. We’re really not that far away from when ai and its intelligence start to replace a large number of jobs, while increasing productivity.
Was helping my sophomore in HS do some homework in current events - they use so much ai it’s almost scary. “Tell me about this in a way I can understand it”- computer knows how she thinks and talks - explains what I was working with her on for 30 minutes in a matter of seconds. And yes there are problems too - most kids don’t learn, they have the computer tell them enough to pass the tests, and yes the computers are smart enough to learn what will be asked on the tests. Ai teaches her algebra better than the teacher - seriously.
I started using chat gpt on my phone - use it way more than I thought. Wife uses it for all sorts of stuff too. I won’t ever be like my kids and talk to their phone like a person, but it’s pretty clear where we’re going. | |
