Thats funny when you consider that the presidents of Marathon, Exxon Mobile, and Valero Energy all stated the reason they want to use Heavy sour crude over Light sweet crude is because they can buy sour at a $20 per barrel discount to sweet is because they increase profit margins Processing sour crude.

but yes by all means believe your guy who washes the office windows at some refinery.

I will take the word of the guys responsible to run the companies.


Apparently your reading comprehension isn't very good. I said we made more money running heavy crude.

edit. And it wasn't just some refinery. It was one of the largest in the midwest. If you follow the original 2010 pipeline on the map above, it was at Wood River. Something like 5 billion was spent to handle Canadian sand crude.
