Mid-Michigan | That's very hard for me also. But, at least you forward sold at what you thought was decent and a profit. I can't understand selling at a loss or break even. Could it go lower? Sure but in those cases, I'll take my chances. Same thing with inputs. Many pundits on here say that you should have all your fertilizer bought, chems etc. Why? All of us have done nothing but bitch about the cost of inputs yet the recommendations are to pay ahead, let them use your money when you know your at a loss? Seems stupid to me. Of course you stand the risk of them going even higher but once again, I'll take my chances. I used to buy a good deal of my inputs for the following year in August. I haven't done that for several years now. | |
