Hey Coy, I’m guessing from your row length you have somewhere around 18 to 20 thousand plants?
Not sure that either way you figure will matter a whole lot. We use 15,000 plants as an acre when we fertilize. Generally use 10 lbs of actual N per week as a rule of thumb.
I would highly recommend doing tissue sampling on a weekly basis or at least every other week. University of Arkansas has a great testing lab for plant fertility. It takes just a few minutes to collect leaves and petioles to send off. Do it on Mondays and you’ll have results before week end. They are very reasonable and a great resource as they work with lots of strawberry growers. You’ll get a full report, not just nitrogen.
You must be very close to picking at your location. If you ever want to visit sometime give me a call. Good luck Strawberries are challenging but such a fun crop!
Tell Tim hi.
