Have any of you taken soil samples from depths deeper than the traditional 6 inches? Below are the results I found from one set of tests.
Frankly, I was a bit surprised to find nutrient levels this high at depths down to 24 inches. But what should I make of it?
Our fertilizer recommendations are based on soil sample results from a 6 inch core. If a recommendation of "X" is based on a soil test level of "Y" at 6 inches.... can we divide the recommendation by 4 if we have the same test level of "Y" from a full 24 inch sample?
What say you,
gordon
