Minnesota | We have done it (had to get rid of some manure in the spring).....and would avoid doing it if you don't absolutely need to get rid of the manure.
My experience is that the beans get way too tall and then fall over in mid-August. White mold was a big problem, too.
Your soils would be different, but the manure application made a terrible seed bed (that's even with dragline applied).
If you think it won't ruin your seedbed, why would you not add more to the corn ground that only has 120# of N? It is common practice in my area to supply most of the corn's N needs from manure and a shot of UAN with pre-plant chemical application. | |
