I assume you're wanting to go after small seeded weeds like Waterhemp with this selection? These weeds germinate from shallow depths so you want the herbicides shallow as well. Valor label says so. If you want less damage to soybeans you'll plant deeper so their roots will be below the herbicide level. This is where cutting back on tillage and having better soil texture pays back. You can plant deeper without crusting being a problem. I actually think the Spartan in Authority isn't as hot as Valor but Valor lasts longer.
