Why?
Just the beginning stages of a scripted WW3. Oil is a major source of revenue for Iran, everyone knows it. So wouldn’t you want to take out their major source of revenue? I’m sure the “everything is random” crowd will be along shortly to clarify the whole mess. Hopefully they will explain the “randomness” of attacking Iran when the markets were closed. Here is a spoiler alert, this conflict will end very badly for the common man, but very well for the billionaire class.
If we are wanting a successful regime change to friendly status, one of the things I would not do is blow up anything that they can use to fund the new government. We darn sure don't want to impoverish the new nation. Besides last time I checked oil refineries don't shoot at anyone so no threat.
