| Im in SW Oklahoma and Dekalb is short here as well and we are planting. Many are not getting what they ordered and just offered "what they can get". The Dekalb guy here said basically they drastically underestimated how many millions of acres nation wide would be switched from other crops to corn due to people not okay with the economics on beans/wheat/cotton all going to corn. He said it is a legitimate problem this year and many will go without the seed they want or dekalb seed at all. for whatever that worth. but im "down south" and didn't get my full order.
also the favorite variety for my area 113-83 will be discontinued and it is by far my favorite. they said it shares a parent with many more popular numbers that are in high demand, so they will be producing more of those numbers and none of mine.
