Interesting. They must have went out of business, I would not darken the door of a place that did not honor the pre pay price.

They are like the mob.
Anyone remember Farmland industries?
They were a strong regional coop who ran world class (by coop standards) fertilizer plants on Cost + a reasonable margin.
Then Natty Gas went to the moon in the US.. Enron.. offering "a choice" to deregulated California electricity.. High Prices.. or Higher Prices??
It was a squeeze on Natty at the time.. ( which eventually led to the ethanol boom.. side note.)
It Bankrupted alot of domestic capacity.. Qatar.. before LNG.. the only way you could add value to Natty gas was to convert to fertilizer.. Urea.. etc..
So Qatar, Russia.. UAE, KSA.. etc.. instead of just flaring the natty.. and burning it off.. (it comes with Crude so.. cheapest just to flair it..)
So the USA was stranded high Natty.. before fracking.. now we're back to.. being awash.. Farmland and legacy nitrogen producers went BK.. and bought out by Koch Bros.. et all.. who Prices by "what the market will bear.." capitalists.
Sell it to farmers.. make Urea for def.. sell it to the Chinese.. we dont care.

AND that's the fertilizer supply chain we have today..
Yes there's a boat about to pull into NOLA.. destined to.. the interior.. but.. if someone offers more.. head it to Brazil.. Canada.. China.. where ever.

Long story short.. were playing musical chairs.. every day the straights are closed.. is a day which can't be made up. Someone who got product.. will not this year.. on the global markets.
Maybe Trump offers China.. Crude for Fertilizer? China gets alot of Crude through the straights..
Does Trump now own a seat at the OPEC table since we got Venezuela.. and possibly dictating who does.. or does not get anything through the Straights.. fine.. Iran is okay with it.. but.. we're not.
Oh the possibilities.. "Were gonna have a wonderful war together."
Maybe China offers fertilizer for Taiwan?
