Central Iowa | This is not normal for our main farm areas. This is a small pocket of what i again call rough ground. I've raise 175-225 corn and 50-65 bpa on nearby farms for the past 10 years. Even with normal to above average fertilizer applications, those other farms often test light as well on soil samples. Extreme variability in the soils. Can produce 250-275bpa corn in one spot and 20 feet further down the row be sub 100 in the same year. So i dont necessarily put all reliance on these results but wanted other opinions.
