Spain was conquered by the Ottoman Empire and under their influence longer than the rest of Europe. So it's not surprising that their culture would react differently to a war in the Middle East. They've had plenty of experiences with arrogant full of themselves twits that think they are King and demanding that everyone jump to attention, so this latest brouhaha is nothing new to them.
