Subject: Insulin is a major key

Going to be tough, but I'll cut it out for a few days and see if that makes a difference

The cup of milk may be just enough carbs to raise your insulin levels. If insulin is raised it shuts off fat burning till the insulin level drops again.

If people happen to be doing really well with the diet, but are just having some additional treats spaced out the day, they may be sabotaging themselves without realizing it.

If you are going to have some carbs, best to focus them around one meal time. Insulin raises but then drops back down 16-20 hours of the day. It is during that time of low insulin that the body is primarily burning fat, dietary fat first then body fat from the organs then finally subcutaneous fat.

One other thing you might try, is if you get hungry for a snack, try eating a half stick of salted butter. I won't go into the explanation of why it works, but for some people it seems to. It is very satiating. Hunger goes away. I don't do it normally but have done it. Some people do a whole stick for a meal and call it a fat fast. Will raise ketones. Real butter, not margarine.
