Subject: Country of origin label

Southern Missouri
There is legislation being considered for finished and partially finished cotton products imported into the U S to be labeled as to where the cotton used to make the product was sourced. The United States consumer in 2025 used over 20 million bales of raw cotton, we only grew a little over 14 million and over 12 million of those bales were exported and only 4 million of those were used in products sent back here . Meaning 16 million bales of foreign grown cotton was bought and consumed by US consumers .Needless to.say I fully agree with the legislation and also will report that many from each side of the aisle are supporting it .Its called BACA and even if our farm didn’t produce cotton I wouldn’t mind knowing where the things laying against my skin came from .Any support from anyone to their Congressman or Senator would be appreciated.
