Subject: RE: Insurance for hauling cattle

Gregory SD
We were hauling our own calves in our pot and had a roll over due to high winds. Live injured cattle were covered by the sale barn, had to fight our own insurance company to get dead calves covered. Have cattle policy but they said they were not covered when houling. big mess and big headache. Semi was covered, but had to pay for clean up on our own because insurance company would not pay for help to round up calves that emergency crews let out (cut the trailer open). Learned that even when insurance agency said we were covered, you might not be.
