America.		Ummmmm..... raise their retail price? It's supply and demand.

Packers are "always losing money". They didn't complain buying cattle for pennies during covid. Didn't complain buying hogs for .08 in the 90s.

So perhaps the margins may be a little thinner but they are not losing money.
