Subject: RE: Goose poop

coast of Maine
I grow 10 acres of ear corn for our corn maze at Beths.I need all the kernels eaten every season so no volunteers next spring. We do not have a combine. No one near does.So we just knock down with a disc and the water fowl eat every last kernel. There are maybe 100,000 geese ducks there march/april.That soil used to suck.It is very mellow now after 10 years of this cycle. The poop is all about. It is actually a thrill for locals to see that many ducks/geese.I am sure I can raise corn there with only nitrogen unless it is a really wet season.
