if you haven't figured out your fertilizer source and logistics by early March, you probably are one who never plans anyway and just shows up at the retailer on the day you need it and takes it at whatever price they bill you for and don't worry much about your costs anyway


You want to dig out your crystal ball and tell me if my wheat is going to yield 8 bpa or 80 bpa? I've seen both and everywhere in between all based on rain. Makes it kinda hard to figure N needs 4 months in advance.

Especially when low protein seems to be the premium on low yield years and high protein is the premium on a good year.

I do know that I will likely need somewhere between 0 and 200 units per acre.
