Ohio | I think part of growing that huge crop was the total number of corn acres planted in 2025. This probably reduced total warehouse inventories that are held over from year to year. They might have upped production, but by the time they had accurate inventory numbers that were in cold storage for 2026, they discovered they didn't up seed acres enough. Then add in issues with germ scores and it's not hard to believe that some hybrids might be tighter than they originally anticipated with no reserves to pull from. | |
