East Central South Dakota | I would be shocked to not see a drop in corn acres based on rotation. Alot of the corn increase in acres came from the states from Texas to North Dakota. If it is dry land production very few areas in that tier of states has the soil or moisture to go corn on corn. Throw in the increase in nitrogen and we should see a drop in corn acres. Texas is planting and this skirmish we are in is going to last awhile I am afraid. I had a great college history professor who was a purple heart recipient. He often stressed the worst enemy you can fight is a religious fanatic. Makes it hard when most of the enemy charging your position wants to be a martyr. You get in situations when you just run out of shells. |
