Highland co. Ohio | New operator got the grain cart auger into the cab of my jd 8310. I have a new (green) cap here but am hoping to repair the inner roof. I haven’t done much fiberglass work but am going to you tube university.
Right now I’m planning to build a plywood mold for the bottom side then start layering glass on top of it with a couple pieces of mesh (aluminum gutter guard) for strength. I haven’t gotten into what to use for a mold release or gel coating yet so any info or videos you find helpful please. I am still kind of unsure how well the the fiberglass will stick to the plastic inner roof and if it will be strong enough to bridge this gap.The plastic is nearly 3/4” thick here so it should have some beef.
Any thoughts on a different kind of repair? Replacement is not out of the question but I have about $1800 reasons to try a few other things first.
Thanks
