I hear ya. The pair is in a 75x16' pen. 15' deep shelter at one end and waterer at the other

Last night she stood in the rain at the waterer end. Calf nursed but she didn't want to come to hay and feed. She thinks she can't move. I carefully walked her to the shed end hoping she learn to shuffle 4" step. Instead, she gets frustrated and hops on her back end about 80% of the time.

Thinking about taking the short link from between each leg giving her 10-12" stride of the nylon strap. Probably do that tomorrow if calf keeps nursing. He had a learning curve too. For a while he only wanted to nurse at the chute. I had to let him get extra hungry, but he wasn't gant this morning, the teats were moderately deflated and while she ate feed he didn't try to nurse at all.
